The university has delivered the second phase of the Single Sign-On project yesterday. This phase centred around the various web resources that are served through or via the intranet (staff and student portals). Olly from the Service Management team made the live service change to replace the old system early in the morning in accordance with the TIS change management processes; this followed substantial testing from both the Solution Delivery and Service Management teams to ensure services would continue after the retirement of the old solution.
This work will facilitate the progression of the university single sign on vision to encapsulate the Student Union website and also the Office 365 platform.
The final phase of the project will concentrate on library and externally hosted resources (including the Digital Learning Environment and the new website project) and will begin in the first quarter of next year.
