This\u00a0narrative is the starting point for conversations about lookalikes, reenactments, the power of audience belief, online fan forums, and the murky world of celebrity-obsessed tabloid journalism. It starts at 7 pm and is free.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/BETHEMILYRICHARDS.COM\" target=\"_blank\">Beth Emily Richards<\/a> is a PhD researcher in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www6.plymouth.ac.uk\/researchcover\/rcp.asp?pagetype=G&amp;page=236\" target=\"_blank\">Performance.Experience.Presence <\/a>(P.E.P) research group at Plymouth University, supervised by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plymouth.ac.uk\/staff\/roberta-mock\" target=\"_blank\">Prof Roberta Mock<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plymouth.ac.uk\/staff\/anya-lewin\" target=\"_blank\">Dr Anya Lewin<\/a>. Her artistic research\u00a0addresses the veracity of the archive, particularly the role of lens-based media and documentation in live artworks.<\/p>\n<p>Beth\u00a0utilises photographs, text, events and actions, performances to camera, sound works and props to subvert personal, sited and fictive histories. Strategies of \u2018failure\u2019 and changes of scale are often employed to disrupt expectations and hegemonies in a playful way.
