This music is also\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>real<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">, though, written \u2018behind the scenes\u2019 by actual musicians and audible to the film\u2019s audience. How is fictional music deployed in films, and to what effect? How do real composers write \u2018in character\u2019 as fictional ones?
