He\u2019ll share what qualities a student\u00a0needs to develop in order to go on and work successfully in the industry, and will introduce the new book he&#8217;s written,\u00a0<strong>Shooting Better Movies: The\u00a0Student Film-makers Guide<\/strong>, focusing on two short chapters\u00a0<strong>Three secrets to film-making<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>15 common traits found in student film<\/strong>s. In the\u00a0final\u00a0<strong>Get Your Shit Together<\/strong>\u00a0section of his presentation, Paul will recommend ways in which students can better their work, themselves and get the\u00a0best from Uni and the industry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\nPaul Dudbridge is a British director, producer, cinematographer and educator, making feature films, television, commercials and music videos. With over\u00a020 years experience in the business, Paul has numerous film and television credits to his name. His first broadcast credits include producing and\u00a0directing ITV&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>The Christmas Storybook<\/strong>, featuring legendary actor Joss Ackland, as well as directing\u00a0<strong>music promos for MTV<\/strong>. His work as a\u00a0cinematographer includes the action thriller\u00a0<strong>By Any Name<\/strong>\u00a0based on the best-selling book by Katherine John. As a producer and director, he helmed the\u00a0science-fiction series\u00a0<strong>Horizon<\/strong>, which went on to win a number of awards at international film festivals, as well as earning Paul a Best Drama Director\u00a0nomination at the Royal Television Society (WoE) awards in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>When not filming, Paul guest lectures at various universities and colleges around the country.
