Professor Tansin Benn, Visiting Professor at Plymouth University, has been as awarded Honorary Life Member Award from the International Association of Physical Education and Sport for Girls and Women and Dance<\/a> (IAPESGW) in recognition of her significant, sustained and outstanding contribution to the work of the Association at the 18th IAPESGW World Congress held in Miami in May 2017.<\/p>\n

IAPESGW is an organisation with a primary aim to support and bring together like-minded professionals from around the world who are working in the fields of physical education, dance and sport.\u00a0Founded in 1949, it now has members in every continent of the world, in over 40 countries.Professor Benn has\u00a0led IAPESGW\u00a0as its President, from 2009\u20132013 and has since served as a\u00a0member of its executive board.<\/p>\n
