Universit<\/span>y of P<\/span>lymouth res<\/span>earcher,\u00a0<\/span>Professor Liz Wells<\/a>, has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the <\/span>University\u00a0<\/a>of Gothenburg<\/a>, Sweden, for her\u00a0<\/span>contributions within the fields of photography\u00a0history, \u00a0theory, curation and criticism internationally. This is especially significant as there is a particular interest in photography and environment at Valand Academy (Department for\u00a0Film, Photography, Fine Art and Literary Composition) and also an established working relationship between photography and the Hasselblad Foundation, Gothenburg.\u00a0The honorary doctoral\u00a0conferment will took place\u00a0at their annual\u00a0University\u00a0doctoral degree ceremony on October 20th 2017. Liz Wells will be returning to Gothenburg to participate in a Valand Academy\u00a0research day on December 4th.<\/span><\/p>\n
