Dr Duncan Williams<\/a> from Plymouth University’s\u00a0Interdisciplinary Centre for Computer Music Research<\/a>\u00a0(ICCMR) has been invited to give a public lecture as part of the Institute of Physics<\/a> lecture series \u00a0at the\u00a0William Penney Theatre in\u00a0Reading.<\/p>\n

This series of lectures is designed\u00a0to raise awareness of cutting edge physics research.<\/p>\n

Duncan will be talking about\u00a0the ICCMR\u2019s BCMI-MIdAS (brain-computer music interfacing) project, a 4.5 year collaboration with colleagues from the University of Reading, funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council\u00a0under the leadership of Professor Eduardo Miranda<\/a> (ICCMR, Plymouth University) and Professor Slawomir Nasuto (Brain Embodiment Laboratory, Reading).<\/p>\n

The Institute of Physics (IOP) is a leading scientific society\u00a0and\u00a0a charitable organisation with a worldwide membership of more than 50,000, working together to advance physics education, research and application.\u00a0The IOP engages with policy-makers and the general public to develop awareness and understanding of the value of physics.<\/p>\n

Duncan’s talk takes place on 13th June 2016 from 7pm. Free admission.<\/strong><\/p>\n
