On Wednesday, November 29, 2023, an international workshop with the theme “Mitigating Non-state Actors Disruptive Influence” took place at the History Directorate (DIS) of the Hellenic Air Force (HAF). The workshop was organized by the Hellenic National Defence College (HNDC) and the Centre for Sea Power and Strategy, University of Plymouth. The event was attended by Associate Professor of Strategic Studies at the University of Plymouth, Dr. Fotios Moustakis, as the keynote speaker. The speakers included Vice Admiral Jan Christian Kaack, Chief of the German Navy, Commander Rachael Gosnell, Marshall Centre professor (online), Dr. Kevin Rowlands, Director of the Royal Navy’s Center for Strategic Studies (online), and Dr. Konstantinos Tsetsos, Head of the Metis Institute and Senior Lecturer at the Bundeswehr University Munich.
The opening of the seminar was declared by the Commander of the NDC, Major General Spyridon Alfantakis. Also in attendance were the Deputy Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Greece, Susan Geary, British Defence Attache Captain Alex Bush, the President of the Board of Directors of the HNDC, retired Major General Spyridon Belegras, representatives of the Chiefs of the General Staff and Security Forces, personnel from the three branches of the Armed Forces, NDC students, and delegations from productive schools.
