Historic UK-German Academic Partnership: New MA in Applied Strategy and International Security

The University of Plymouth and the University of the Bundeswehr Munich, German Ministry of Defence, will jointly deliver an MA program in Applied Strategy and International Security starting September 2024. This historic collaboration is the first between a British university and the German Ministry of Defence for such an initiative. The MA, offered in a hybrid format (online live with some provisional f2f options), aims to attract military officers from the UK, German armed forces, NATO, partner nations, and other students. This partnership highlights the University of Plymouth’s national security expertise and innovative education approach. It builds on Plymouth’s successful collaboration with the Hellenic Ministry of Defence, which has graduated over 400 senior officers and civil servants since 2009.
