The aim of Project Griffin is to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help understand the threat from terrorism to the UK<\/li>\n<li>Guide individuals on what to do if they find themselves involved in a terrorist incident or events that led up to a planned attack<\/li>\n<li>Enable people to recognise and report suspicious activity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The DCSS at Plymouth University has also received\u00a0 accreditation by MCA (Maritime and Coastguard Agency) on 7th\u00a0 December 2017\u00a0 for our\u00a0 course on Proficiency in Designated Security Studies.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the MCA is to prevent the loss of life on the coast and at sea. It produces legislation and guidance on maritime matters, and provide certification to seafarers.
