This isn\u2019 t new, last year BAE Systems and Turkish Aerospace Industries signed an agreement to collaborate on the first development phase of an indigenous fifth-generation fighter jet for the Turkish Air Force.<\/p>\n<p>The planned aircraft, the \u2018TFX\u2019 is expected to be a twin-engine, fifth-generation Turkish \u2018aerial superiority fighter\u2019. The aircraft is planned to replace F-16 in Turkush service.
