ASTI have set up the \u201cJust one thing\u201d initiative to provide an alternative approach to supporting teaching staff. It aims to encourage and enable them to get the best out of the DLE, and to explore and use other relevant tools that might enhance their current teaching and learning provision.<\/p>\n

Every month there will be a selected \u201cJust One Thing\u201d article in this newsletter, giving hints and tips on a particular tool. \u00a0In addition to this, the TEL team will be running regular sessions on Wednesday afternoons, between 13:00 \u2013 13:45, focussing on a particular tool or topic (e.g. eSubmissions in Moodle).\u00a0The sessions will be hands-on, and will include demonstrations and discussion, with an accompanying 2-page printed guide for each topic, as well as online videos.\u00a0Participants are encouraged to bring along their lunch and\/or hot drinks to the sessions. A selection of cold drinks will also be available.<\/p>\n

It is hoped that offering this approach to training and information to teaching staff, will help to ease the burden of lack of time, providing an alternative to the longer workshop sessions that cover a broader overview of a topic. \u00a0Staff can dip in and out of the sessions, both online and face-to-face, as their need arises.<\/p>\n
