{"id":5373,"date":"2017-03-02T15:28:34","date_gmt":"2017-03-02T15:28:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.plymouth.ac.uk\/asti\/?p=5373"},"modified":"2023-04-25T10:44:26","modified_gmt":"2023-04-25T10:44:26","slug":"esubmission-troubleshooting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.plymouth.ac.uk\/digital-education\/esubmission-troubleshooting\/","title":{"rendered":"eSubmission Troubleshooting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #808080\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Common Troubleshooting Issues:<\/strong> \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n\u2018View grade all submissions\u2019 \u2013 nothing to display:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check all filters in options are set to &#8216;none&#8217; and that the alphabet filter at the top is set to \u2018all\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Grades haven\u2019t transferred to UNIT-e:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Link to UNIT-e in common module settings not enabled<\/li>\n<li>If you enable the setting after you have released the grades to students, please re-release the grades after enabling the setting to ensure the transfer is initiated<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Students can\u2019t see feedback:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Anonymity hasn\u2019t been removed (grading action \u2013 &#8216;reveal student identities&#8217;)<\/li>\n<li>Marking workflow has been changed to \u2018released\u2019 (with selected dropdown at the bottom \u2013 set marking workflow state \u2013 on the second page set the marking workflow to &#8216;released&#8217;, then\u00a0save)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Group submission: students can see other student work:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Groups have not been set up and enabled. Moodle treating the cohort as one big class<\/li>\n<li>This can\u2019t be fixed, the eSubmission will need to be recreated after groups have been set up and the original one hidden\/deleted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Student has submitted an unknown file type:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PDFs can be converted to Word using Adobe Acrobat DC<\/li>\n<li>Refer to submission of coursework guidance if file corrupt (eSubmission help and guidance policies section)<\/li>\n<li>Ensure file type required is specified to students before submission<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Turnitin report not generated:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check error message \u2013 if student hasn\u2019t clicked the license agreement they need to resubmit<\/li>\n<li>Still says \u2018Pending\u2019 after significant time.
