
{"id":5628,"date":"2018-01-30T10:14:36","date_gmt":"2018-01-30T10:14:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.plymouth.ac.uk\/asti\/?p=5628"},"modified":"2023-04-25T10:43:02","modified_gmt":"2023-04-25T10:43:02","slug":"feedback-and-marking-in-turnitin-grademark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.plymouth.ac.uk\/digital-education\/feedback-and-marking-in-turnitin-grademark\/","title":{"rendered":"Feedback and marking in Turnitin GradeMark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Turnitin has developed a new feedback tool called GradeMark, which is now available to use through the DLE.<br \/>\nASTI now delivers a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plymouth.ac.uk\/whats-on\/feedback-and-marking-in-grademark\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">course<\/a> on this tool, which aims to give an understanding of GradeMark&#8217;s functionality and its use within the University.<br \/>\nOnline help and guidance in using Turnitin GradeMark is also available on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dle.plymouth.ac.uk\/course\/view.php?id=32388\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eSubmission Help and Guidance page<\/a> via: DLE &gt; Help &gt; Staff Materials &gt; eSubmission Help and Guidance &gt; Turnitin (GradeMark)\u00a0<strong>Guidelines for using Turnitin GradeMark.<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you are planning to use Turnitin GradeMark for online marking please be aware of the following:<br \/>\n1. It can only be used for marking <strong><em>individual <\/em><\/strong>submissions, NOT group submissions.<br \/>\n2. DO NOT USE the &#8216;next\/select submission&#8217; option (highlighted below)\u00a0whilst in the Turnitin GradeMark screen, as this may show multiple pieces of work by the same student.<br \/>\nThis drop down shows <strong><em>all draft versions<\/em><\/strong> a student has submitted for the assignment, <em><strong>as well as<\/strong> <strong>the final version<\/strong><\/em> (Moodle will only ever show you the final version).<br \/>\nTherefore always close a piece of student work when you have marked it in GradeMark, then go back to the grading table to access and mark the next student.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.plymouth.ac.uk\/digital-education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/96\/2018\/01\/my-essay-image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5632 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.plymouth.ac.uk\/digital-education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/96\/2018\/01\/my-essay-image.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"819\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>3. The course aims to give you an understanding of how Turnitin can be used by both academics and students.
