The plan was for the SDC to work with us and their peers to gather feedback on the technologies used in\u00a0learning and teaching, to produce\u00a0student help materials direct from a student perspective and to look for future\u00a0opportunities\u00a0to work more closely\u00a0with\u00a0our student population. The 17 SDCs\u00a0represented all faculties across the university including first, second, final and postgraduate students.<\/p>\n<p>A selection of the SDCs tasks completed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Production of student help materials\u00a0(and videos)\u00a0for Zoom and Panopto\u00a0including\u00a0Zoom etiquette guidelines for students.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewed and critiqued\u00a0Digital\u00a0Education\u00a0resources\u00a0such as\u00a0induction material,\u00a0Digital Capabilities\u00a0Student\u00a0Tool Kit\u00a0and Jisc discovery tool.<\/li>\n<li>Inputting to University\u00a0wide projects such as the mobile app design.<\/li>\n<li>Testing of\u00a0latest\u00a0technologies\u00a0such as\u00a0ChatBot\u00a0and Zoom.<\/li>\n<li>Creation of\u00a0materials\u00a0alongside\u00a0Semester\u00a01+\u00a0(student experience) in light of the Covid-19, including videos and help materials.<\/li>\n<li>Running\u00a04 x1hours\u00a0Zoom support sessions for SU sports and society leaders<\/li>\n<li>Working\u00a0alongside DE to\u00a0produce an extensive\u00a0knowledge base of help materials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We send out the biggest thank you to our\u00a0student digital champions\u00a0who have shown a great deal of professionalism, dedication and willingness to support\u00a0fellow students.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.plymouth.ac.uk\/about-us\/teaching-and-learning\/digital-education\/student-digital-champions\">Find out more about you SDC program here<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As the new academic terms ramps up, we, reluctantly, say goodbye to our student digital champions: Back in March (pre Covid-19) we\u00a0employed 17 students from across the University, as Student Digital Champions.
