During the first part of this webinar, they emphasised its power, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>It is a great tool to be used for gathering valuable input from students<\/li><li>It improves learning outcomes, just as student engagement and satisfaction<\/li><li>It facilitates active learning journeys for students<\/li><li>It is a safe space for everyone to be heard<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>They also highlighted the recent research they conducted with <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.emotiv.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Emotiv<\/a> which is a bioinformatics company that uses special devices to carry out brain studies. This study&#8217;s results outlined that during the presentation by using Mentimeter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>15% of students paid more attention<\/li><li>13% of students were more engaged<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information about the research, please visit their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mentimeter.com\/blog\/the-science\/the-mentimeter-effect-quantifying-engagement-with-emotiv-eeg-technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blog and case study website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">Available Content Types<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, Mentimeter also demonstrated some of the available content types by planning interactive tasks for the audience. To understand the difference between the content types of Mentimeter, H5P, and Microsoft PowerPoint, please click <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.plymouth.ac.uk\/digital-education\/mentimeter-h5p-microsoft-powerpoint-which-technology-should-i-use\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They also demonstrated <a href=\"https:\/\/digi-ed.uk\/support\/article\/how-to-manage-results-in-a-mentimeter-presentation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">managing results of a Mentimeter presentation<\/a>, including producing data-driven analytics and exporting these results to alternative formats for further analytics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">Edit Mode<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>During the webinar, educators could also gain insight into the edit mode of a Mentimeter presentation, which included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/help.mentimeter.com\/en\/articles\/375437-create-your-first-presentation\" target=\"_blank\">Creating new slides<\/a><\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/help.mentimeter.com\/en\/articles\/1382325-checklist-for-creating-an-amazing-presentation-with-menti\" target=\"_blank\">Configuring the presentation <\/a>settings (including using Mentimeter for live sessions or <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/help.mentimeter.com\/en\/articles\/6385721-how-to-conduct-a-survey-with-mentimeter\" target=\"_blank\">as surveys by using the &#8216;Audience-pace&#8217; feature<\/a>)<\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/help.mentimeter.com\/en\/articles\/465592-how-can-i-change-the-language-in-mentimeter\" target=\"_blank\">Translating the content<\/a> into different languages<\/li><li>Using the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/digi-ed.uk\/support\/article\/how-to-block-inappropriate-words-profanity-in-a-mentimeter-presentation\/\" target=\"_blank\">Profanity filter<\/a> to filter out inappropriate words entered by students as responses, for example for Open-Ended questions<\/li><li>Sharing presentations for:<ul><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/digi-ed.uk\/support\/article\/how-to-share-a-mentimeter-presentation\/#participation\" target=\"_blank\">participation<\/a> using QR codes, URL links, or Mentimeter codes (designed for student usage)<\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/digi-ed.uk\/support\/article\/how-to-share-a-mentimeter-presentation\/#invite-collaborators\" target=\"_blank\">collaboration<\/a> (designed for colleague usage)<\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/digi-ed.uk\/support\/article\/how-to-share-a-mentimeter-presentation\/#presentation-sharing\" target=\"_blank\">review of results and importing<\/a> presentations to other Mentimeter accounts (designed for colleague usage)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">New Features<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Mentimeter also introduced a couple of new features that have been released recently, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/help.mentimeter.com\/en\/articles\/8069507-reactions-from-the-audience\" target=\"_blank\">Reactions<\/a> designed for participants which can be a heart, a thumbs up and down, a question, or a cat icon &#8211; these can be enabled\/disabled on each slide<\/li><li>Different layouts in the edit mode, including tabs, such as:<ul><li>&#8216;Content&#8217; where the slide content type has to be added to the presentation<\/li><li>&#8216;Design&#8217; where the slide design can be customised, such as content layout, text alignment, color and size, visualisation colors, and background images <\/li><li>&#8216;Interactivity&#8217; where the slide reactions can be selected<\/li><li>&#8216;Templates&#8217; where different <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/digi-ed.uk\/support\/article\/what-are-the-mentimeter-templates\/\" target=\"_blank\">pre-designed slide or presentation templates<\/a> can be used depending on the content<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Mentimeter plugin which now can be used in <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/help.mentimeter.com\/en\/articles\/5228027-mentimeter-app-for-zoom\" target=\"_blank\">Zoom<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/help.mentimeter.com\/en\/articles\/5259075-mentimeter-for-microsoft-teams\" target=\"_blank\">Microsoft Teams<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">FAQ<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>During the webinar, there were plenty of opportunities given to the audience to ask questions from Mentimeter.
