{"id":596,"date":"2019-03-12T16:31:58","date_gmt":"2019-03-12T16:31:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.plymouth.ac.uk\/embedded-systems\/?page_id=596"},"modified":"2019-03-12T17:41:56","modified_gmt":"2019-03-12T17:41:56","slug":"getting-started-with-quartus-v16-1","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.plymouth.ac.uk\/embedded-systems\/fpga-and-vhdl\/getting-started-with-quartus-v16-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Getting Started with Quartus (v16.1)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve created a few videos to help students get started with Intel Quartus.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At the time of writing, we are using <a href=\"http:\/\/fpgasoftware.intel.com\/16.1\/?edition=lite\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Quartus v16.1<\/a><\/li>\n<li>We are using a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.terasic.com.tw\/cgi-bin\/page\/archive.pl?No=593\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Terasic DE0-Nano<\/a>\u00a0development board<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note to Plymouth Students:<\/strong> Versions 17 and 18 have similar interfaces, so the instructions will not differ. Note however that <em>Quartus is not forward compatible<\/em>.
