To support the bid, Iain will join TV historian and archaeologist Neil Oliver and UNESCO expert Professor Barry Gilbertson in a series of talks on the environmental and cultural importance of The Flow Country. Organised by a consortium of leading conservation bodies, the \u2018Full Flow\u2019 events will take place in Lairg, Thurso and Inverness, with Iain\u2019s contribution emphasizing the importance of the UK\u2019s largest terrestrial carbon store in the context Scotland\u2019s climate emergency. In the context of the City\u2019s climate emergency plans, Iain will highlight the SEI\u2019s expertise for communicating and visualising climate and energy concerns and its current projects on energy and low-carbon issues, and Justin from Plymouth City Council will present the city\u2019s ambitious energy efficiency plans.<\/p>\n Teacher\u2019s Seismic Hub<\/strong> As part of the United Downs Deep Geothermal Power project<\/a> in west Cornwall, Iain is joining Lucy Cotton from Geoscience Ltd and Paul Denton from the British Geological Survey\u2019s \u2018Seismology for Schools\u2019 project to deliver a set of curriculum-based talks on earthquakes to local schools.
