The SSC EDI committee has organised a cinema event that includes the showing of two short Steve McQueen films from his Small Axe Anthology and discussion led by two members of the Plymouth and Devon Racial Equality Council. This is open to staff and students across the university so it will be great to see you there alongside your students. The event is also organised in association with Sustainable Social Justice, SSC Employability, and Culture and Heritage Exchange. Our guests from the Plymouth and Devon Racial Equality Council will also speak to our students about volunteering opportunities with them. I know not many of us will see students in the classroom now over the coming week, but if this could be shared to students among your disciplines via email or Moodle announcements that would be fantastic.
