The 6th November marks 42 days since the last case of Ebola in Sierra Leone – meaning the country can be officially declared Ebola-free.

This is a massive achievement for the local health professional and communities, and eBuddi has been credited as playing a role in this success, teaching both the health worker and the patient how to care for sick members of the community, how to clean up and disinfect, and importantly how to protect themselves, their families and their communities. This project has helped to improve access to infection prevention and control skills in Sierra Leone and elsewhere in West Africa, and by doing so has helped to improve the resilience of local health systems.
