The aim of this project was to streamline the University of Plymouth Colleges (UPC) regional partnership’s approach to Accredited Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).
This was accomplished by making recommendations and changes to work, policies and practice at Plymouth University and creating the Pineapple tool to support and guide tutors and administrators through the APEL process.
This tool is open source and can therefore can be implemented by other institutions. For example, Staffordshire University are using an adapted version to manage their curriculum design process.
The tool and APEL support materials may be accessed via the Pineapple project website.
Futher information on the Pineapple project can be found on the Pineapple project
The Pineapple project was funded by JISC under the Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development strand of the Institutional Innovation Programme.
