ESRC Festival of Social Science

From October 22nd to November 13th, the ESRC Festival of Social Science offered some fascinating insights into the country’s leading social science research, and the influences it has on our lives.

The University ran series of events as a part of this, including a workshop for primary school children hosted at RLB Crosspoint by ADA. This event, From Field to Plate, took place on November 2nd and the Plymouth Community Café Jollof Kitchen provided a healthy meal for the visiting primary school children.

A student made animated film, aimed at teaching children about the links between food, eating and place, was also shown at the event. The film can be viewed on the University’s YouTube channel here.

Following the event, the school fed back that the visit had made a positive impression on the students regarding university as a future learning environment.
