Sport is an important platform that provides people with numerous benefits. It gives people of all abilities and ages a chance to live happier, healthier, and more productive lives. Moreover, it is a unifying tool that helps unite individuals from all walks of life. Furthermore, sports promote teamwork, problem-solving abilities, stress reduction, and self-esteem, among other things.

In light of these clear benefits and the PBS EDI’s determination to promote students’ health and well-being, the idea of organising an accessible and inclusive sports programme for all students evolved. The programme is led by EDI student ambassadors who plan all the activities and ensure the event runs at least twice every two weeks at the Nancy Astor Sports Centre on the main campus of the University of Plymouth. Various sports, such as basketball, volleyball, football, and badminton, are all played.

The programme is scheduled to run for the entire 2022-23 academic year, and students and faculty will be kept up to date on semester two schedules.
